Chuck's Ibanez Guitars

The cream of my vintage Ibanez guitar collection, plus one Greco Les Paul clone, a Fernandes strat clone, and a Kingston Bass that I painted.

Ibanez Artwood Twin, Model 2470 (pre-serial no., made before mid-1975, model later renumbered as 2670):

NOTE: This particular guitar was owned and used by Gerry Beckley on the "America Live" album from 1976. There is a picture of Gerry playing this guitar on the album sleeve and the same picture is used in the 1978 Ibanez Electric Guitars catalog.

NOTE: This guitar is modified to approximate the Les Paul Frank Zappa used during the late 1970s and early 1980s, on such albums as "Shut Up 'n' Play Yer Guitar" (it is pictured on the cover of that album).

Fernandes Strat (The Limited Model):

NOTE: I used this guitar on recordings made with Earls Watch (1985) and Subdueds (1986).

NOTE: This was my main bass back in the 1970s and I recently restored it by adding two vintage Ibanez bass pickups, new electronics, the paint job, and I also hand-crafted the clear pickguard and added the little plastic lizard.
