Experience:MICROSOFT, Redmond, Washington: 2005 – Present Various Roles Sr. Search Account Manager (May 2008 – Present): Main account manager for several Premium-level search advertising clients, responsible for all account maintenance, strategic optimizations and in-person client presentations. In addition to the client-facing role, I am one of our teams recognized adCenter experts, taking an active role in team training (adCenter operation, Optimizations, Editorial practices). I also eagerly accept any opportunities to get out in front of adCenter clients and the search community in general. I have worked the Bing/adCenter booth at several trade shows and have been a participant on expert search panels at several shows, including two TechTarget Online ROI Summits (where I was part of a three-person panel giving PPC advice to the audience, along with representatives from Google and Yahoo) and, most recently, at the June 2009 SMX Advanced meeting in Seattle, where, again, I was part of a multi-person panel answering audience questions about search optimization. Lead Media Specialist (April 2007 – April 2008): Front-line manager for a team of eight media specialists on the Select/SMB Team, which managed PPC via adCenter for mid-level Growth and Small/Medium business clients. As a manager I was responsible for weekly 1:1’s, mentoring and coaching of my direct reports, overall portfolio management of our book of business, mid-year reviews, and formal year-end performance reviews. I am very proud of my time as a lead, because I was able to coach and mentor two struggling employees back to “Achieved” status, recommend another for a great new job with the Standard Support team, have another win a Star performance award, and overall have the team meet its performance/quota objectives. While a lead I also attended and graduated the Management Excellence training course. Sr. Search Marketing Analyst (June 2005 – April 2007): Member of the Search Marketing Organization providing PPC search marketing services via adCenter and MSN.com to Premium-level advertising clients. As a manager of our CSG resources I had two direct reports and ensured that they were trained on our internal tools and had the resources they needed to be successful in their positions. FREELANCE WEB MARKETING CONSULTANT, Northbridge, Massachusetts: 2004 – 2005 Contract web marketing services for a series of clients, both large and small, where I provided paid search management, organic search optimization, web site analytics, and email marketing services. EMPIRIX INC., Waltham, Massachusetts: 2001 – 2004 Web Marketing Manager In charge of all web-related marketing programs, including web-based advertising, email programs and Empirix website-based lead generation (forms, offers, etc.) and the budget for them. Investigate, recommend and manage web-related advertising campaigns including search engine advertising, banner advertising, email, e-newsletter sponsorships, and web seminars. Optimize the site for search engine effectiveness and run several campaigns of pay-for-click advertising to increase our site visits and leads. Launched the company’s first pay-per-click advertising efforts on Overture and Google (beta tester for Google AdWords) and expanded programs to over $100,000 per quarter budget.
